I recently had my hair cut, colored, and styled at "Olive." It was a pleasurable experience from start to finish.

A professional, friendly, and helpful staff greeted me as soon as I walked in. An employee offered, and I accepted, a tour of the salon while waiting for my stylist. The shop itself is beautifully designed and immaculate, while very cozy, casual, and inviting. I was then led to a comfortable place to sit and offered a beverage.

After a brief wait, I was greeted by the stylist. She took plenty of time to discuss with me what I had in mind for a hairstyle and color. I took pictures to give her an idea of what I wanted. She was very honest with me about which ones would work considering the texture of my hair. Together we decided upon a style that I liked. I was very confident about the services I was to receive and even when I later expressed that I was a bit anxious about the length, the stylist stopped to discuss my apprehension and to make sure I still wanted to go short. I was completely comfortable expressing my feelings and I knew that she would have no problem leaving my hair longer if that's what I decided on. I did, however, decide to go with the cut I previously settled on and could not have been happier with the result! I got an adorable cut and the color was just beautiful.I had no problem with the price considering the obviously experienced, courteous, and talented work of my stylist.

The salon offers a selection of hair and other beauty products. I purchased a product for my hair and hand moisturizer. I was not at all pressured into making an additional purchase.

Facials and massages in a private area are also available. I will definitely consider taking advantage of that in the future.

I have received multiple compliments on and am still pleased with my "new hair". The cut is low maintenance and easy for me to style. I know this is because the hairdresser took into consideration the fact that my hair is course and wavy. I made an appointment to meet with the same hairdresser before I left and look forward to returning to "Olive"!
Note: In general, I think it's a great idea to think about and plan in advance what kind of haircut you want. It's also a great idea to listen to the advice of an experienced hairdresser if he/she expresses concerns about what you want and what is realistic for your hair type.
